Removal and AT installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Prop up back wheels protivootkatny boots, cock the parking brake, transfer the selector lever to the situation "N", then поддомкратьте a front of the car and establish it on props. At the corresponding complete set remove protection of a case.
  2. Merge ATF (see. Head Routine maintenance), then screw a drain stopper on the regular place and tighten with demanded effort.
  3. Remove the storage battery with the adjusting pallet (see. Head engine Electric equipment).
  4. Remove a reception pipe, the catalytic converter and average section of system of production of the fulfilled gases (see. Head of the Power supply system and release).
  5. Remove both power shafts (see. Head Coupling and power shafts), - if did not merge ATF, prepare for its collecting.
  6. Having hung out the power unit from above on a crossbeam laid across an impellent compartment, remove a forward stretcher (see. Head Suspension bracket and steering).
  7. Release a clamp (if it is provided) and accurately disconnect a selector cable from the AT lever. Liberate a cable cover from a basic arm and take a cable aside.
  8. Turn out a fixing bolt and remove directing tube of the measuring. Remove a sealing ring.
  9. Walk on electroconducting from switches and transmission sensors, release clamps and disunite contact sockets. Liberate electroconducting plaits from all provided intermediate clamps on a transmission case.
  10. Turn out fixing bolts and remove a basic arm of fastening of electroconducting.
  11. At the corresponding complete set disconnect a ventilating hose from the top part of a case of transmission.
  12. Remove an air purifier with inlet air lines (see. Head of the Power supply system and release).
  13. Prop up transmission by a telezhechny jack (for the purpose of distribution of loading lay between a head of a jack and a transmission case wooden whetstone).
  1. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the right support of a suspension bracket of the power unit to an arm at the end of the block of cylinders.
  1. Turn out five or six bolts of fastening of the left support of a suspension bracket to AT case.
  1. Previously having marked, disconnect hoses of a path of cooling of ATF from a forward part of a case of transmission (liberate clamps by a poddevaniye them a screw-driver) (see ATF Shtutsernye's illustration of connection of hoses of an okhladitelny path (AF13 transmission) or Shtutsernye connections of hoses of an okhladitelny path of ATF (AF17 and AF 20 transmission)). Plant clamps on the places and remove sealing rings — rings is subject to replacement without fail. At once закупорьте the open ends of hoses and unions in order to avoid hit in dirt system.
  2. Turn out two fixing bolts and remove assembly of a forward support of a suspension bracket of the power unit.
  3. Manipulating a telfer and a jack, lower the power unit approximately on 50 mm — try not to allow pressing of the lines of communication laid under transmission.
  4. About the purpose of ensuring access to bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer take from a pallet flange rubber caps. Turning the hydrotransformer for a bolt of a pulley of a cranked shaft serially turn out all bolts of its fastening to a driving disk.
  5. That the hydrotransformer did not move down from a shaft and did not fall in process of removal of transmission, shift it deep into assemblies.
  6. Completely transfer transmission weight on a jack, then turn out the top and bottom bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine — try to remember location of bolts and assembly arms fixed by them.

On AF13 equipped with transmissions and AF17 models do not mix bolts of fastening of transmission with two bolts of fastening of the pallet of a case of the engine to it. Once again make sure that all lines of communication are disconnected and nothing disturbs transmission removal.

  1. Having turned out all bolts, shift a jack and separate transmission from the engine, having completely removed it from directing plugs. Lower a jack and take transmission from under the car — try not to drop the hydrotransformer. If plugs are planted in the nests freely, take from and clean in a reliable place.

Installation

New bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer to a driving disk and new sealing rings of shtutserny connections of lines of a path of cooling of ATF be required.

Installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Pay attention to the next moments.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Before installation banish a tap carving openings of the hydrotransformer, having completely removed from their rounds traces of corrosion and old hermetic (instead of a tap it is possible to use an old bolt of the corresponding size, previously having made in it longitudinal spent on drink).
  2. Make sure available on the places of directing plugs and grease with molibdensoderzhashchy greasing directing pin of the hydrotransformer and aligning plug on a pin of a cranked shaft.
  3. Track correctness of installation of transmission on the engine, all fixture tighten with demanded effort.
  4. Do not forget to replace bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer to a driving disk — on the first a stage bolts are tightened by hand, then (in a diagonal order in stages, evenly with demanded effort).
  5. Do not forget to replace epiploons of power shafts (see. Head Coupling and power shafts).
  6. Replace sealing rings of shtutserny connections of lines of a path of cooling of ATF, track reliability of fastening of tubes;
  7. Do not forget to replace a sealing element of a directing tube щупа measurement of level of ATF.
  8. In summary fill in in transmission necessary quantity of fresh ATF (see. Head Routine maintenance) also make adjustment of a cable of the selector (see. Adjustment of the mechanism of a choice of transfers).
