4-step automatic transmissions (AT) consists of the hydrotransformer (the rotation converter), planetary assemblies and hydraulically operated couplings of coupling and brake tapes. Management of functioning of transmission carries out ECM by means of electrooperated valves. AT has three modes of movement: normal (economic), sports and winter.
The normal (economic) mode is intended for usual style of driving when gear shifting up occurs at rather low turns of the engine corresponding to a mode of the minimum fuel consumption. Switching in a sports mode is carried out by means of located on the lever of the selector of the button and leads to a delay of raising switchings of transmission that leads to increase of dynamic characteristics of the car, however is accompanied by some increase in fuel consumption. About inclusion of a sports mode the control lamp of "SPORT" (warns see. Head Operation manual). For inclusion of a winter mode of functioning it is intended located on the central console to switch, - the car troganiye from a place at activation of this mode occurs from the third transfer that essentially increases quality of coupling of protectors with a slippery paving.
The hydrotransformer (the rotation converter) provides torque transfer from the engine to a transmission. Thanks to that transfer of rotation is carried out in the hydraulic way (through transmission liquid - ATF), the troganiye of the car and gear shifting occur very smoothly. Besides, the hydrotransformer provides dynamic adjustments of size of a torque at dispersal.
The AT planetary mechanism provides possibility of a choice of four lobbies and one back transfers. The transfer relation of a planetary reducer is defined by what of its elements are blocked and what rotate freely. Blocking and an otpuskaniye of elements of planetary assemblies in AT is made by means of couplings of coupling and the brake tapes activated on teams, arriving from the management module. Placed in a transmission case the hydropump a pressure of the working liquid necessary for activation of couplings and brake tapes.
The driver operates AT means of the car established on a floor and the lever of the selector having seven positions. Situation "D" (Drive) provides possibility of switching of transmission on any of four forward transfers, thus the kickdown function provides automatic transition to a low gear when squeezing against the stop gas pedals (for the purpose of increase of the transfer relation, providing to the car the raised dynamic characteristics necessary, for example, at commission of overtaking). In the situation "1" forward switchings of transmission are completely blocked and the car can move only on the first transfer. The choice of provisions "2" and "3" provides transmission switchings between the first two / three transfers, providing possibility to make braking by the engine in difficult road conditions (for example, at movement in the mountain district). It is necessary to remember that AT switching on a low gear can occur only after adequate decrease in turns of the engine. The situation "R" (Reverse) corresponds to a choice of a reverse gear, the provision of "N" (Neutral) - neutral and the situation "R" - a parking.
In view of complexity of a design of AT, absence on free sale of replaceable internal components, and need of use of the special equipment, originators of the real Management do not recommend to owners of cars to carry out major maintenance of transmission by own forces. In the present Chapter procedures of diagnostics of the general refusals of transmission, its routine maintenance, adjustments, removals and installations are considered only.
Sometimes, in case of serious breakage, it is more reasonable and simpler to replace transmission, than to waste time and funds for restoration of the failed assembly. Regardless of the chosen way of introduction of refused AT in action, independent performance of its removal and installation will help to cut down substantially expenses (before make sure that transmission really needs regenerative repair).
