Check of serviceability of functioning and regenerative repair of a heater of back glass

The working element of a heater of back glass represents a horizontal lattice from the tokoprovodny threads pasted on an internal surface of glass. A food on a heater moves through a big safety lock from the block of distribution of capacity located in an impellent compartment of the car. Inclusion of a heater is made by means of the switch located on the dashboard of the car.

Small breaks of tokoprovodny threads of a lattice of a working element of a heater can be eliminated without dismantle of back glass.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Include ignition and a heater of back glass.
  2. Press positive щуп the voltmeter to the positive plug of a lattice of a heating element, negative щуп press to the negative plug. The device should register tension of the battery, otherwise check a condition of a safety lock, the switch and connecting electroconducting. If tension in norm, however, a part of a heater does not work. Pass to the following stage of check.
  1. To measure tension during described below checks wind positive щуп the voltmeter with a metal foil which it is easy then a finger will press directly to a tokoprovodny thread of a lattice of a heating element. Negative щуп a measuring instrument connect to the negative plug of a lattice.
  1. Measure tension in the central part of each of lattice threads. The indication in 5 — 6 In testifies to serviceability of a condition of a thread. The zero indication speaks about break existence between the center of a thread and a positive side of an element. Indication overestimate twice (10 — 12 In) occurs in the presence of break between the center of a thread and a negative side of an element. Serially check each of lattice threads.
  1. In the absence of breaks connect negative щуп to mass of the chassis and repeat check, - indications should not change, violation of quality of grounding of a lattice otherwise takes place.
  1. For localization of break press negative щуп the voltmeter to the negative plug of a lattice of a heating element. Wrapped up by a foil positive shchupy start to probe tokoprovodny threads of a lattice, moving from food giving to weight. Instrument reading should fall in a break point from several volts to zero.

Regenerative repair

Restoration of integrity of tokoprovodny threads is made by means of a special remnabor of the Dupont 4817 type. The basis of a set is made by the tokoprovodny epoksidny paste delivered complete with a hardener.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Before starting regenerative repair of a lattice of a working element switch off a heater and let's to an element cool down within several minutes.
  2. Slightly smooth out the damaged site of a thread felt, then carefully wipe it alcohol.
  3. Paste two strips of an adhesive tape along a subject to restoration of a site of a thread.
  4. Carefully mix epoksidny paste with a hardener (follow instructions enclosed in a set).
  1. Put the received structure on the damaged site (with a tipping over approximately in 20 mm on regions of the intact thread).

Final polymerization of a compound occurs in 24 hours after which protective strips of an adhesive tape can be removed from glass.
